Program eases workplace shortage with employer connections

The Wayne County WORKS initiative helps employers recruit and retain with high-wage jobs.

Employers often have difficulty finding and keeping highly qualified workers despite offering higher than average wages. Wayne County WORKS has developed a process where an applicant's skill set is measurable and can be matched with an employer. This model has helped Wayne County connect unemployed or "underemployed" applicants to jobs that provide a living wage and an opportunity for growth.
