Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(pleasant music) - My name is Douglas Fink and I'm President and CEO of Pennsylvania Paper and Supply Company.
We are a 100 year old multidimensional facility services supply equipment and packaging supply and equipment provider in Eastern Pennsylvania from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
My grandfather started the company in 1922, selling paper bags to mom-and-pop grocery stores.
My dad came into the business, Jerry Fink, in 1946 after he got out of the Army.
- Thank you for calling Pennsylvania Paper.
This is Dee speaking.
How could I help you today?
- [Douglas] In 2004, we got a call out of the blue by a production company who was making a show about a paper company in Scranton.
A young John Krasinski came out from New York City and that's when he took the famous iconic shot of our tower that became the title sequence, the opening shot in every show.
We're considered the most famous paper company in America; We get visitors from all over the world who just wanna come and visit the facility and experience what the real Dunder Mifflin is like.
- Hi, Doug.
- I don't necessarily know that we resemble a real Dunder Mifflin, but any resemblance to Michael Scott personally, I disavow, but it's something we have a lot of fun with and a lot of our customers do, too.
(pleasant music) (phone rings) - People and Culture Department, this is Lynn, how can I help you today?
My name is Lynn Jesuitt Donnini and I am Vice President of People and Culture and Public Relations.
We really have seen growth within our company.
We have individuals here 30, 40, 50 years, and obviously longevity of our staff says a lot.
I, myself, have been here almost 18 years.
I don't know what it's like to be in a company for a hundred years.
I can tell you, though, being at a company where there's three generations of family is absolutely amazing.
- Watch out guys, this could hurt.
(plane crashing) Oh my god, haha!
(pleasant music) My name is Hunter Bravis, I am the Director of Operations, I oversee our warehouse activities on our first and second shift, as well as our team of drivers and fleet of vehicles that we have.
Being here for three years is 3% of the time that they've been open so relatively small time, but looking forward to the future and what we can deliver.
- [Lynn] So we actually had some of the cast members here throughout the years from the show and they would come and visit.
So we did a little entertaining with them.
Over the past few years, obviously, as The Office became more popular, we decided to collaborate as a team and we thought, you know, it would be really neat to have props here.
So the visitors come in, they get their pictures taken, and they just absolutely go crazy over it.
(keystrokes) - This is the fine paper, office paper.
Made in America!
Good to go!
- No question in my mind that I'm the world's best boss.
But you'll have to ask my employees to be sure.
- World's best boss.
Like to think of myself as the best boss, but my next best boss would be Doug Fink.
- Probably wouldn't be here as long as I have if he wasn't one of the world's best boss, Douglas Fink.
